ABOUT US

Mission & Vision

Fierté Saint John Fundy Pride supports and uplifts 2SLGBTQIA+ communities through advocacy, education, and year-round programming — creating spaces for visibility, belonging, safety, and joyful community connection across Saint John and southern New Brunswick.

We strive to create a vibrant, inclusive Fundy region where 2SLGBTQIA+ communities are visible, valued, empowered — and free to celebrate, connect, and live authentically every day.

Our Values

  • We believe in living visibly — with boldness, authenticity, and pride. Visibility is more than presence; it is power, recognition, and the freedom to live openly.

  • Everyone deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and at home in our community. We create safe spaces and experiences grounded in care, connection, and belonging.

  • We celebrate queer lives, stories, and expression through moments of connection, creativity, and shared experience.

  • Our history is rooted in perseverance. We honour those who came before us by continuing to push forward — with courage, care, and determination.

History of Saint John Pride

Saint John Pride was founded in 2003. While the organization has a long and meaningful history in the community, some of the earliest details have been difficult to fully document due to changes in record keeping over the years.
