Sam Nickerson (she/they)

Originally from St. Martins and calling Sussex home since 2018, Sam Nickerson is a true community builder. They were a key part of the team that sparked the very first Pride events in Sussex.

Stepping into the role of Director of Kings Pride for the Saint John Fundy Pride Board, Sam brings a fierce dedication to growing queer joy and visibility in rural spaces. She acts as a vital liaison between the board and our Kings communities, supporting local volunteers and ensuring that rural voices are always reflected in our work. Thanks to that ground-level care, Kings Region Pride has blossomed into a full, bright week of chosen family.

When they are not organizing, Sam loves spending time outdoors and hanging out with her two kids. You can also find them happily rewatching the same three comfort shows on Netflix.
