Rooted right here in Saint John, Alex Saunders is a community organizer, a professional maker of gay things happen, and a fierce drag performer. Better known on stage as the fabulous Justin Toodeep, they bring incredible artistry and vibrant, campy energy to the local scene.

As Co-Chair of the Saint John Fundy Pride Board, Alex shares leadership to guide our overall strategy and governance. Working closely with the team, they act as a vital liaison and ambassador, making sure our work always aligns with our core mission. For years, Alex has been building up our region’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community both in the spotlight and behind the scenes.

When the heels come off, their dedication stays exactly the same. Alex works hard to ensure queer folks across the region can connect, celebrate safely, and truly feel at home.
